Major airline expands its luxury shuttle service in Ontario
A major Canadian airline has announced it is expanding its luxury shuttle service in Ontario.
Air Canada announced in a news release today that its multi-model landline service will be expanding to the Kingston Norman Rogers Airport, connecting passengers to Pearson International Airport in Mississauga.
The program consists of a luxury shuttle service, introduced last year, that connects passengers from the Juno C. Munro Airport in Hamilton and the Region of Waterloo Airport to Toronto’s major travel junction.
The addition of the Kingston Norman Rogers Airport now adds a third travel branch to the expansive program.
“Reliable, integrated transportation links like this are essential to supporting our tourism sector, enabling workforce mobility, and strengthening Kingston’s appeal as a destination for conferences, investment, and innovation,” said Craig Desjardins, Director of Strategy, Innovation and Partnerships, at the City of Kingston, in a statement.
In terms of design, according to Air Canada, passengers accessing the service will check in to their flight as usual at the Kingston (or other) locations, where bags will be tagged and boarding passes distributed.
Passengers will then gather at a muster point and board a luxury land shuttle, which will take them to their planned departures, removing the need for any connecting flights.
The program works both ways and takes customers to and from their initial travel points in Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Kingston.
According to Air Canada, one-stop journeys offered through the service include Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, and hundreds of international destinations.
Air Canada’s shuttle schedule for Kingston is as follows:
| Flight Number | Departure | Arrival | Frequency |
| AC2514 | Kingston (YGK) 04:00 | Toronto (YYZ) 06:50 | Daily |
| AC2515 | Toronto (YYZ) 08:10 | Kingston (YGK) 11:05 | Daily |
| AC2516 | Kingston (YGK) 14:00 | Toronto (YYZ) 17:30 | Daily |
| AC2517 | Toronto (YYZ) 19:10 | Kingston (YGK) 22:05 | Daily |
Dejardins further added that this new program will not only help those wishing to travel outside of Kingston with a smoother itinerary, but also will help put Kingston on the map to those coming into Ontario.
“The return of Air Canada to Kingston marks a critical step forward in reconnecting our community to the global economy.”
