But one participant, Connor Estelle, has found himself at the center of the storm, both for what he said and what happened afterward. Estelle, who also goes by the online alias "Pinesap," sparked outrage during the nearly two-hour debate when he openly identified as a fascist and dismissed concerns about being labeled a Nazi. When Hasan called him a fascist, Estelle nodded and replied, “Yeah, I am,” drawing applause from other panelists. He went further, expressing disdain for democracy and support for autocratic rule guided by Catholic doctrine. Also read: Meet Connor Estelle: Mehdi Hasan’s Viral Jubilee Opponent Fired After Shocking 'Fascist' Admission Following the viral backlash, Estelle claimed he was fired from his job the day after the episode aired. In an interview with far-right media outlet RiftTV, he blamed "cancel culture" and said he was penalized for expressing “heterosexual, Christian, moral beliefs.” His former employer, cloud engineering firm VeUP, confirmed he was a subcontractor but clarified that the decision to release him came from a core contractor, not directly from VeUP. In response, Estelle launched a fundraiser on a Christian crowdfunding site asking for $15,000 in “emergency funds” while he looks for new employment. As of this week, he’s raised more than $29,000. Many donations include extremist messages like “It’s ok to be white” and “We need a white nation! Vive le Fascisme!” The Jubilee debate also included other viral moments, such as one participant telling Hasan he should leave the US because he’s an immigrant, and another claiming that white people in America are facing a “genocide.”Get Latest News Live on Times Now along with Breaking News and Top Headlines from US News and around the World.
