Rio Ngumoha became Liverpool's youngest ever player to appear in European competition on Wednesday night.

At the age of 17 years and 19 days, Ngumoha made history when he appeared as a second-half substitute in the Reds' Champions League win over Atletico Madrid at Anfield.

His outing off the bench in the 74th minute saw him beat the previous club record of 17 years and 213 days, set by Trey Nyoni at PSV Eindhoven last season.
