Saskatchewan wins bronze at Football Canada Cup

Team Saskatchewan didn’t walk away empty handed at the 2025 Football Canada Cup in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.

Saskatchewan defeated Quebec 36-8 to win the bronze medals and a third-place finish.

Easton Gosselin of Humboldt is a member of Team Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan won their first game on Monday, July 14, beating New Brunswick 42-0.

On Thursday, the comeback by Saskatchewan fell short as they were defeated by Ontario 41-36.

Saskatchewan trailed 14-1 after the opening quarter, and then they were behind 26-15 at halftime before outscoring Ontario 21-15 in the second half.

In 2024, Saskatchewan finished in fourth place at the Canada Cup.

Alberta defeated Ontario in the gold medal game 37-34 in overtime. Humboldt’s Stephen Gray was a part of the officiating crew for the gold medal game.
